Current Phase: Permitting

The current phase for the project is the US Army Corps of Engineers 404 permitting process. This process will address a number of environmental issues. It will allow for input from state and federal agencies as well as the public. The 404 permit application was filed in the fall of 2000.

NEWSLETTERS   (3/14/2008)

When checking for project updates, please refer also to the NEWSLETTER DOWNLOADS. ANRA has issued four newsletters for the project the most recent of which is the March/April 2008 issue. This issue contains a calendar for completion of the 404 process as well as other pertinent articles of interest.

ANRA Board approves water quality regulations   (8/31/2007)

At their regular Board of Directors meeting on August 7th the ANRA Board approved the Lake Columbia Water Quality Protection Regulations. The regulations are designed to address watershed protection issues which could contribute to increases in sedimentation and other forms of pollution flowing into the reservoir.

The regulations utilize widely recognized practices for controlling point and non point sources of pollution.
